Group Medical- Small businesses (and certain organizations, like non-profits) are generally eligible for group medical so long as they can show two or more full-time taxable employees (1099 employees are not considered full-time taxable employees). Husband and wife teams must both be on the payroll in order to qualify for a group insurance policy. Choose Group Medical if you have 2 or more full-time(not 1099) employees.
Individual and Family Medical-An Individual Medical Plan is renewable for multiple years and provides continuous claims coverage. Most healthcare companies offer comprehensive major medical plans that cover both major and routine medical expenses.Choose Individual and Family Medical if you are an indivdual, family, sole employee, self-employed individual or a husband and wife team.
Short Term Medical- Short-Term Medical plans provide individual and family coverage for a limited time frame, typically 30 days up to six months. These plans are major medical plans designed to protect you in the event of an illness or injury; they are not meant to cover routine exams, preventive care, dental or eye care, or immunizations. Choose a short term medical plan if you need coverage immediately, or know you will be getting more permanent coverage soon.
